What does this Privacy Policy cover?

We are CatScratch Games LLC (“CatScratch Games”, “we”, or “us”). This Privacy Policy applies CatScratch Games’ game software (including the “Intrigue” game) and websites (such as https://intrigue.fun) (together, we’ll refer to these as the “Service”).

By using the Service, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. Please read our Terms of Use as well, for general guidance about your use of the Service.

What Personal Data Do We Collect?

We collect and process different types of personal data depending on how you interact with our Service. Here’s an overview of the information we collect:

Contact Information

When you directly interact with us (such as when you provide feedback or report issues), when you request or receive customer or technical support, and when you sign up for communications (newsletters, updates, promotions), we collect certain contact information such as your email address and name.

We automatically collect certain technical and analytic information from you and your device when you use our Service, including your device and software specifications (device type, model, OS, browser, IP address, referring URLs), certain cookies which have been set, and your game version.

We use this information to analyze user behavior and preferences, ensure Service compatibility and performance, improve design and user experience, and troubleshoot technical issues.

If you enable push notifications, we store a device token to facilitate them.

User Communication and Content

If you choose to use communication or content sharing features on the Service, we may collect and process any chat messages, comments, feedback submissions, and support tickets that you transmit to us or other users through the Service.

We use this information to enable user-to-user interactions (such as in-game chat during matches), provide customer and technical support, investigate reported violations, and maintain community standards.

Do not put private information in your username or in the in-game chat.

Who Shares Personal Data With Us?

When operating the Service, certain third parties may share personal data with us, as detailed below:

  • Game Platforms: If you access the Service through a third-party platform like Apple’s App Store, Google Play Store, Steam, or otherwise, or create your Account on the Service using a third-party platform, that platform may share certain information with us, including your name, email, device push notification token, and certain analytics data). This is done according to that third-party platform’s privacy policy.

  • Payment Processing: When you make purchases on the Service, the third-party payment processor may share information about your purchase with us in order for us to credit your Account with the purchase, process refunds, etc.

  • Patreon: If you purchase access to the Service through the Patreon platform, Patreon may share certain information with us (such as your email address and membership information) in order for us to provide the correct level of Service access to you.

How Do We Share Your Information?

In order to provide the Service, we may share certain personal data with third parties, as detailed below:

  • Technical Service Providers: We may share certain personal data with trusted service providers who help us operate and improve our Service. We do this to analyze how our services are used, host our services and store your data securely, monitor service performance and errors, prevent spam and abuse, and process email communications (such as newsletters, updates, and customer service communications).

  • Payment Processors: We share data with our third-party payment processor partners (including Apple, Google, Patreon, and other third-party payment processors) to process payments and transactions, and manage subscriptions.

We do not sell, rent, or share your Personal Information for targeted advertising, automated decision-making, or profiling purposes.

We may share anonymous, aggregate statistics with third parties or the public.

How long do we keep your data?

We only keep your personal data as long as it’s required to provide you with the Service. Sometimes a longer period might be required by law.

After that, we will delete your personal data within a reasonable time.

  • enforce our user agreements,
  • follow any technical and legal requirements related to the Service.

Children’s privacy rights

Our headquarters is in the United States.
